Breakouts can occur due to multiple factors: starting new active products too close to the date (causing purging), accumulated stress (cortisol increases oil production and inflammation), or having a compromised skin barrier from multiple pre-bridal treatments that makes your skin more reactive to even mild products.

Be clear and specific: 'I have a sudden breakout two days before my wedding. I need the most calming facial you have. No extractions, no acids, no peels. Just something to hydrate and reduce redness and swelling.' This sets clear boundaries for safe treatment.
Patchy peeling is common but not ideal. It usually means the peel didn't work evenly across your face, which could be due to varying skin thickness, dryness in some areas, or uneven application. For Indian skin, this is particularly concerning as it can lead to dark spots and uneven pigmentation when the fresh skin is exposed to sun.
Uneven peeling can result from several factors: using the same formula for your entire face despite varying skin sensitivity, not checking your skin's condition before treatment (like dryness from AC exposure), improper rinsing of the solution in some areas, or using other active skincare products (like AHA face washes or retinol) before the treatment without informing the salon.
Don't pick at the peeling skin as this can cause dark marks. Use a plain, gentle moisturizer without fragrance, apply mineral sunscreen daily, and avoid scrubs or acids. Use lukewarm water and a soft cloth for cleansing. If redness or burning persists, seek professional follow-up care.
Normal, even peeling usually completes in 3-5 days, while patchy peeling can last 7-10 days because some areas are slow to shed. If a spot hasn't peeled at all after two weeks, the peel likely didn't affect that area.
The yellow color indicates the nail is extremely dry. Acrylic acts as a seal, and when it's removed, especially with aggressive filing, it strips away natural moisture, leaving the nail bed exposed. The nail reacts with air and leftover product, causing yellow discoloration that's embedded in the nail structure.
The yellow discoloration is stuck in the nail plate and must grow out naturally. This typically takes 3 to 6 months for most people as the damaged nail grows out and is replaced by new, healthy nail growth.
While technically possible, it's not recommended. Painting over yellow nails, especially with dark polishes, can trap moisture and dry out the nails further. If you must cover them, use a very light, breathable base coat, but avoid gels or acrylics on top.
Ask your technician to be gentle during removal, request more soaking time to reduce aggressive filing, and ensure they don't pry the acrylic off. Inquire about using gentler removal products and methods to minimize damage to your natural nails.
Bumps after chin threading are typically a combination of folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles) and general skin irritation. The threading process causes micro-tears as hair is pulled out, triggering your body's inflammatory response with blood and immune cells rushing to the area, causing redness and swelling.
For most people, the redness and raised bumps improve within a day or two if left alone. However, any dark spots or hyperpigmentation that forms can take weeks to fade, especially on Indian skin tones where inflammation can trigger more melanin production.
